How to Use
- Preparation: Ensure the equipment you are securing is positioned properly. Unroll the ratchet strap and lay it flat to prevent any twists.
- Attach the Hooks: Secure one end of the strap to a fixed point using the double J hooks. These hooks are designed to latch onto anchor points such as the side of a vehicle, trailer, or storage rack.
- Position the Strap: Run the strap over or around the equipment you wish to secure. Make sure the strap is positioned evenly and not twisted.
- Tighten the Strap: Insert the free end of the strap into the ratchet mechanism. Begin ratcheting by pulling the handle of the ratchet to tighten the strap. Keep ratcheting until the strap is tight enough to securely hold the equipment in place. Be careful not to over-tighten, as this can damage the strap or equipment.
- Lock the Ratchet: Once the strap is tight, lock the ratchet in place by closing the ratchet handle fully.
- Check for Security: Give the strap a final tug to ensure that it is securely fastened and the equipment is held tightly.
- Release the Strap: When you are ready to unload or release the equipment, open the ratchet mechanism and slowly pull the strap to loosen it.
