When choosing a grinder you need to first consider the job you are intending to use it for. Small grinders are more versatile due to their smaller bodies and lighter weights and tend to operate at much higher rpms than the larger ones, giving more precise clean cuts, but the larger discs and more powerful motors on bigger grinders allow for deeper cutting and more heavy duty removal of material, although they tend to be heavier and more bulky.
